      YIN yoga

Yin Yoga is a practice that is easily accessible for all levels and ages. It also complements the more active styles of Yoga perfectly and we need Yin & Yang activities to live a balanced life. During the practice we hold specific Yoga poses for 3 up to 8 minutes to target the Yin Tissue* of our body. Why? To regain flexibility, to create a feeling of space and relief and to strengthen the bones in our body. The poses will do the work for us whilst we focus on cultivating patience. We will do that by focusing on the sensations in our body and by focusing on our breath. The practice will feel like one long meditative and mindful Yin Yoga practice and it will assist us in training our mind to stay mindful and present.

This class is very suitable for Vata and Pitta Ayurvedic constitutions.

      Traditional hatha

Traditional Yoga is an old form of yoga based on the Sutra’s of Pantanjali. It is a gentle form of yoga, where we search for the essence of movement and asana’s from an inner perspective. Traditional Yoga is rooted in these teachings: Practice yoga in softness, stability and comfort and expand your practice from this place and this place only. Traditional yoga is for every-body and every level. Where needed we can adjust asana’s to people’s needs. You are invited to discover the goal of yoga: UNITY!

      qi gong Flow

In this class you will perform the taiji-qigong sequence of movements, with a focus on the internal energy flow.

QiGong Flow offers you an excellent introduction in traditional chinese energetics and bodywork. It’s a relaxing way to learn all the basics needed for a correct and effective practice of Qi Gong or Taiji Quan. The movements are easy to perform and you’ll soon be able to experience the vitalizing effects of these exercises.

      Qi Energy
The Chinese have, for thousands of years, been aware of a system of internal energy –qi- which travels through a
network of meridians or pathways in the body. Each meridian feeds the energetic system of a particular internal organ.

If you think about these pathways as rivers, when a river flows freely everything is fresh but if it becomes stagnant
everything begins to decay as the vitality drains from it. The practice of qigong works to regulate the flow of energy through these meridians, ensuring you feel fresh, peaceful, balanced, healthy, and with positive vitality.

This class is suitable for all levels and is low in intensity.

      Tuesday 19:00-20:00

Vinyasa classes synchronize movement and breath in order to create a vinyasa flow. This is a powerful and dynamic form of yoga for a strong and energetic body and a clear mind. This form of yoga consists of a set of positions called the primary series that is estimated to be around 5,000 years old. Supported by the ujjayi breathing a flow of movements is generated. This intensive motion creates heat and has a purifying affect on your organs and muscles. Waking up and becoming clear minded through yoga and meditation will ignite your spark and make you follow your true self.

This class is very suitable for Kapha and Pitta Ayurvedic constitutions.

Yin and Yang are the names given by the Taoists to describe what they call the two main forces in the universe. They called Yang everything that is dynamic, constantly changing, visible, hot and strong; they called Yin everything that is static, quiet, hidden, cold and soft. Those terms are not absolutes, they are the two parts of a whole: one does not exist without the other. For the Taoists – and for the yogis – a well balanced life involves both aspects balancing each other.

We start with some gentle flow movements to wake up and warm the body, before we melt and surrender to yin poses.
