Beginners Class Series // Class 5: The Deeper Layers – Hip Openers, Meditation & Yoga Nidra

Are you new to yoga? Or have you been practicing for a while and ready to learn more about the assanas you are practicing? Yoga has so much to offer that it can be a bit overwhelming when you just start out.

In this series of beginners classes Suze Retera will take you step by step through the different building blocs of the yoga practice. In these non-dualistic classes different styles of yoga area discussed and you will learn how to practice safely, no matter which class you choose to attend.

Suze will discuss the alignment principles for the different poses with you that not only allow you to practice safe, but also to get more out of your practice in a sustainable way. Besides the physical alignment there is attention for the mental and health benefits of the practice.

Upon completion of the course you will have a good foundation that allows you to take part in different group classes and get the most out of it. You will understand the intelligence behind the basic poses and how to apply your practice to your daily needs.

We recommend you to take the entire course, but it is possible to book per class.

Class 5: The Deeper Layers – Hip Openers, Meditation & Yoga Nidra

Yoga is more than the physical poses that have a positive effect on both the body and the mind. A complete yoga practice consist of multiple elements, among which meditation, yoga philosophy and lifestyle.

In the class Suze will guide you to some of the deeper layers of what your yoga practice has to offer you. Through a series of hip openers we will work on the release of stress and tension in the body, getting it ready for a seated meditation and deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra.
