AYURVEDIC LIFESTYLE CLASS
Translated simply as ‘knowledge of life’, Ayurveda (a Sanskrit term: Ayur = life, Veda = knowledge) is an ancient Indian holistic philosophy. Ayurveda shows you how to live a healthy, wholesome and more fulfilled life by balancing your mind, body and spirit. You are at the core of Ayurveda; the individual, and your unique set of physical, mental and spiritual characteristics—known as dosha in Ayurvedic practice.
By taking your dominant dosha(s), Ayurveda offers insights into which foods, herbs, and lifestyle activities will enhance the quality of your life, and which ones won’t. It offers a body of wisdom designed to help you stay vibrant and healthy while realizing your full human potential.

๑ THE ELEMENTS OF LIFE
Saturday the 18th of August from 12:00-13:30
Everything in the world, including our bodies, is made of different amounts of the 5 Elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Even the untouchable things, like our communication, has the qualities of the elements in it.
Although all elements are needed in different amounts at different times, an excess or lack of a certain element can create an imbalance. Being able to recognise the elements makes it possible for you to adapt more easily to your surroundings and the events that take place in your life, finding balance in each moment.
A yoga class also consists of the elements. In this workshop Suze Reterawill show you how to recognise the elements and understand how they work together and affect both your body and your mind. During the asana practice you will have a chance to experience the effect of the different elements in the different parts of the practice and gain an understanding of the intelligence behind sequencing.
๑ VATA BALANCING SELF CARE

Living in the city, leading busy lives in a fast changing world can be challenging. When you have a Vata constitution or a Vata imbalance this fast pase lifestyle can make you feel ungrounded, confused, overwhelmed and insecure. Ayurveda and yoga offer you tools and insights to recognise which parts of your life create too much Vata and how you can easily create more balance.
In this class you will learn more about the Vata dosha, the symptoms of a Vata imbalance and how you can make changes in your daily life and diet that will support you during stressful time or times with lots of changes. Besides theory Suze will guide you through a Vata balancing yoga practice and yoga nidra, giving you all the tools you need to offer yourself some grounding self care.
