Movement Meditation ๑ Create Whole Body Harmony

As an ancient art of “Moving Meditation', 氣功 has its roots in Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine. With a focus on creating self-awareness and self-care in the body and mind, it cultivates Qi 氣, the internal energy flow through the meridians in the body.

With slow, smooth and deep breathing, the body moves as an integrated unit, through continuous, curved and spiral movements to reduce stress, release pain and create whole body harmony. Also, it invites us to explore the connection between the internal body and the external environment for a dynamic balance.

Traditionally seen, the so called Poomsea are used voor Seon meditation in movement. These Poomsea are stylized movements that will activate your whole body, and make your mind empty. During this meditation, the students will follow the teacher by practicing the different styles of movements. The movement is often tangram formed. Tangrams are the signs of I Ching and show all corners of Korea, the earth and the cosmos. All styles have a physical focus on balance and gracious movements while the mental focus is on the breath. The transformation from one movement to the other also focuses on breathing out and breathing in.

The Wim Hof Method is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Yet it is something else entirely. While Wim has read a lot of books on yoga and meditation for many years, this technique primordially comes from what he terms ‘cold hard nature’. By subjecting himself to the bitter conditions of nature, he learned to withstand the extreme forces of cold, heat and fear. If you learn this method or technique correctly, it will empower you to do the same.

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

With the help of Traditional Korean Martial Arts Movements, it is the aim of this class to let participants empty their mind.

The so-called Poomsaes are forms straight out of Korean Taekwondo. The movements within this form consist of punches, kicks and blocks that are carefully choreographed in the shape of a tangram straight out of the Daoist I Ching.

The movements help you breathe properly as they invite you to take control over every muscle in your body so you are actually able to let go of your mind. Your entire body will mimic breathing in and breathing out as you move across all corners of the world and galaxy.

Zen, or Seon in Korean, will be achieved as a participant goes through the movements and concentrates on JUST the movement. Emptying one's mind brings about a silent state of mind. This meditation in movement is comparable to Chinese Tai Chi and is open to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Participants can choose to do these forms barefooted as is traditional or wear shoes if they have problems with their feet. Bring some water, a towel and lots of love.

The instructor, Kevin Heller, is a 1st-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Traditionally seen, the so called Poomsea are used voor Seon meditation in movement. These Poomsea are stylized movements that will activate your whole body, and make your mind empty. During this meditation, the students will follow the teacher by practicing the different styles of movements. The movement is often tangram formed. Tangrams are the signs of I Ching and show all corners of Korea, the earth and the cosmos. All styles have a physical focus on balance and gracious movements while the mental focus is on the breath. The transformation from one movement to the other also focuses on breathing out and breathing in.

The Wim Hof Method is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Yet it is something else entirely. While Wim has read a lot of books on yoga and meditation for many years, this technique primordially comes from what he terms ‘cold hard nature’. By subjecting himself to the bitter conditions of nature, he learned to withstand the extreme forces of cold, heat and fear. If you learn this method or technique correctly, it will empower you to do the same.

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

With the help of Traditional Korean Martial Arts Movements, it is the aim of this class to let participants empty their mind.

The so-called Poomsaes are forms straight out of Korean Taekwondo. The movements within this form consist of punches, kicks and blocks that are carefully choreographed in the shape of a tangram straight out of the Daoist I Ching.

The movements help you breathe properly as they invite you to take control over every muscle in your body so you are actually able to let go of your mind. Your entire body will mimic breathing in and breathing out as you move across all corners of the world and galaxy.

Zen, or Seon in Korean, will be achieved as a participant goes through the movements and concentrates on JUST the movement. Emptying one's mind brings about a silent state of mind. This meditation in movement is comparable to Chinese Tai Chi and is open to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Participants can choose to do these forms barefooted as is traditional or wear shoes if they have problems with their feet. Bring some water, a towel and lots of love.

The instructor, Kevin Heller, is a 1st-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Traditionally seen, the so called Poomsea are used voor Seon meditation in movement. These Poomsea are stylized movements that will activate your whole body, and make your mind empty. During this meditation, the students will follow the teacher by practicing the different styles of movements. The movement is often tangram formed. Tangrams are the signs of I Ching and show all corners of Korea, the earth and the cosmos. All styles have a physical focus on balance and gracious movements while the mental focus is on the breath. The transformation from one movement to the other also focuses on breathing out and breathing in.

The Wim Hof Method is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Yet it is something else entirely. While Wim has read a lot of books on yoga and meditation for many years, this technique primordially comes from what he terms ‘cold hard nature’. By subjecting himself to the bitter conditions of nature, he learned to withstand the extreme forces of cold, heat and fear. If you learn this method or technique correctly, it will empower you to do the same.

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

With the help of Traditional Korean Martial Arts Movements, it is the aim of this class to let participants empty their mind.

The so-called Poomsaes are forms straight out of Korean Taekwondo. The movements within this form consist of punches, kicks and blocks that are carefully choreographed in the shape of a tangram straight out of the Daoist I Ching.

The movements help you breathe properly as they invite you to take control over every muscle in your body so you are actually able to let go of your mind. Your entire body will mimic breathing in and breathing out as you move across all corners of the world and galaxy.

Zen, or Seon in Korean, will be achieved as a participant goes through the movements and concentrates on JUST the movement. Emptying one's mind brings about a silent state of mind. This meditation in movement is comparable to Chinese Tai Chi and is open to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Participants can choose to do these forms barefooted as is traditional or wear shoes if they have problems with their feet. Bring some water, a towel and lots of love.

The instructor, Kevin Heller, is a 1st-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

This class is for everyone who wants to learn how to reduce their stress-level, sharpen their concentration, and wants to feel more energized and refreshed. Meditating will also bring you more inner calmness and helps you to overcome fears and anxieties. Meditation is the best medication, so get into your meditative pose already!

๑ MOVEMENT MEDITATION
with Kevin Heller
Traditionally seen, the so called Poomsea are used voor Seon meditation in movement. These Poomsea are stylized movements that will activate your whole body, and make your mind empty. During this meditation, the students will follow the teacher by practicing the different styles of movements. The movement is often tangram formed. Tangrams are the signs of I Ching and show all corners of Korea, the earth and the cosmos. All styles have a physical focus on balance and gracious movements while the mental focus is on the breath. The transformation from one movement to the other also focuses on breathing out and breathing in.

๑ WIM HOF BREATHING & MEDITATION EXERCISES

The Wim Hof Method is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Yet it is something else entirely. While Wim has read a lot of books on yoga and meditation for many years, this technique primordially comes from what he terms ‘cold hard nature’. By subjecting himself to the bitter conditions of nature, he learned to withstand the extreme forces of cold, heat and fear. If you learn this method or technique correctly, it will empower you to do the same.

The Zen Teachings of Martial Arts

With the help of Traditional Korean Martial Arts Movements, it is the aim of this class to let participants empty their mind.

The so-called Poomsaes are forms straight out of Korean Taekwondo. The movements within this form consist of punches, kicks and blocks that are carefully choreographed in the shape of a tangram straight out of the Daoist I Ching.

The movements help you breathe properly as they invite you to take control over every muscle in your body so you are actually able to let go of your mind. Your entire body will mimic breathing in and breathing out as you move across all corners of the world and galaxy.

Zen, or Seon in Korean, will be achieved as a participant goes through the movements and concentrates on JUST the movement. Emptying one's mind brings about a silent state of mind. This meditation in movement is comparable to Chinese Tai Chi and is open to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Participants can choose to do these forms barefooted as is traditional or wear shoes if they have problems with their feet. Bring some water, a towel and lots of love.

The instructor, Kevin Heller, is a 1st-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
