Rachel's teaching (RYS 500 hours) springs from the very precise Iyengar system, as taught by Ruth White, and has gone on to be greatly influenced by the study of functional movement and the work of many great movement teachers and modalities.
Rachel's classes will help you to build a foundation of lasting health through movement based in a bio-mechanical understanding of the body. She combines an appreciation for alignment with a real love of movement and includes more restorative practices where appropriate. You will learn how your body is designed to move and explore ways to integrate it into you your daily life.
Rachel's own yoga and art practice has taught her that when we bring our whole being into each moment, we have the infinite potential to heal, create, love, and be at peace. It is her work to help people find this place through movement, making, courageous self-love and self- care.
