Sustainable products are those products that provide environmental, social and economic benefits while protecting public health and environment over their whole life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials until the final disposal. Our sustainable products are part of the new circular economy.
Looking beyond the current "take, make and dispose” extractive industrial model, the circular economy is restorative and regenerative by design. Relying on system-wide innovation, it aims to redefine products and services to design waste out, while minimising negative impacts. Underpinned by a transition to renewable energy sources, the circular model builds economic, natural and social capital.
At The Conscious Club we embrace the circulair economy model, that's why we only use sustainable products and only work with sustainable suppliers and business partners.

Bolsters and meditation cushions
These are made out of GOTS certified cotton and are filled with buckwheat chaff. Chaff is the inedible protective casing of the grain, which is otherwise thrown away.
All of the soaps and body products at The Conscious Club are organic. In the showers you can find shower cream and near the washbasin you can find hand lotion from Dr. Hauschka. The soap in the soap dispensers are also natural but from a different company called Vendor.
So what is it what makes makes unnatural soap so bad for you?
Here are just a few of the ingredients found in commercial body soaps: Benzaldehyde, Benzyl Acetate, Sodium, Laureth Sulfate (SLS) and Linalool.
What are these chemicals, and are they really necessary for cleanliness?
If you're concerned about reducing the amount of dangerous chemicals and toxins you expose your body to, you need to know about typical body soaps.
Give as much thought to what you'd put on your skin as you would to what you'd put into your mouth.
Why? It is your body's first line of defence against harmful substances.
Your skin is a protective mechanical barrier for your internal organs and muscles. It excretes waste products and excess salts from your body through sweat and tears. Your skin is also meant to absorb substances that are good for you, like Vitamin D from the sun, or healing herbals, and essential oils. So of course, your skin can also absorb substances that are bad for you!
When your skin absorbs harmful chemicals, their toxins can lodge into your cells, tissues, and muscles, and eventually overwhelm your entire immune system.
A weakened immune system can no longer do its' real job of defending you against disease-causing viruses, bacteria and fungal infections. By using organic soap and body products you are taking care of yourself.
At The Conscious Club we use the towels, sheets and plaids of Yumeko.
Yumeko brings gentleness into the world. They believe that gentleness enables us to live a better and more relaxed life. This means that their goal is to make the time that you spend in the bathroom and in your bed a real pleasure. That’s why they make their eco bed linen, duvets, pillows, mattresses, towels and plaids so soft and gentle.
They do this by using the most sustainable cotton and kapok, the best down, the purest latex and the finest wool. They can offer this quality because they are gentle to the animals and the fields that give them their raw materials, and to the farmers who own them.
Just try it for yourself.
