Make A Social Impact

Sustainability is the common thread in our company. We love to lead by example and make a social impact to create ripples of conscious change. As a business we take a few extra steps when it comes to the topics of nature protection, cultural diversity and burn-out preservation, re-integration and recovery. We believe when we live more in harmony with ourselves and one another, this world becomes more beautiful.

With our story we have not only been able to inspire people, but also many companies to become more conscious about their footprint in this world. And we are proud that big sustainable campaigns and projects from i.e. ABN AMRO, the municipality of Amsterdam, Nederlandse Bank, Rabobank, ING and Heineken have been created at our location.

We are registered on SDG Netherlands and contribute to quality education, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.

Burn-out & Work re-integration program

The Conscious Club works with karma hosts from a socioeconomic aspect. This gives people from various backgrounds, nationalities and a lower income the opportunity to join our program for free in exchange for a small work contribution on location.

We are also the perfect space for the reintegration from a burn-out or depression, get back into a working rhythm without losing the focus on mental and physical health.

The work varies from helping customers, maintaining our plants, or making vegan dishes in our kitchen.

Diversity with over 30 nationalities

Because Amsterdam consists of more than 50% expats, we decided from the start in 2015 to give our company an international blueprint and thereby build a bridge between expats and Dutch people.

We now work with over 30 different nationalities. As a result, they learn our language, learn about our culture, but also feel part of a community of like-minded people.

In doing so, we actively contribute to the fight against loneliness that many people experience in a large city and we give everyone an equal chance to experience our program.

Nature preservation and protection

We have contributed to the Amsterdam Climate Neutral 2050 policy and are a member of the Preservation of Image-Defining Trees Committee of the Amsterdam Canals. Thanks to our efforts, we have been able to prevent the unnecessary felling of 33 healthy iconic Elms on the Rozengracht.

In 2019 we launched The Conscious Challenge a sustainable Wikipedia on the 10 most important topics of our time. Bringing awareness to our ecological footprint in this world through various media, talks, challenges, events and our own animation campaign, combined with providing solutions.

During the Australian fires we raised and donated a €1.000,- to local nature and animal charities and adopted two koala’s named Linwen and Paul. We continue to support nature and wildlife.
