Super Snow Moon in Virgo - Infinite Potential
The Full Moon for February 2019 reaches its peak on the 19th at 4:53 PM in Amsterdam. In ancient times, people across Europe and Native Americans used the Moon to track the seasons. In the lunar calendar, names were often given to each month’s Moon.
Traditionally, the Moon we see in February is called the Snow Moon due to the typically heavy snowfall of February. This month we’ll also be treated again to a Super Full Moon!
Supermoon
A Supermoon occurs when the Moon is both full AND reaches the point in its orbit where it is closest to Earth. A Supermoon is ever-so-slightly larger and brighter than a typical Full Moon, though the difference is negligible when viewed with the naked eye. This always makes for beautiful full moon pictures on our Amsterdam canals!

Zero is the blank canvas of all creation, signaling that this Full Moon is really going to offer infinite potential. It is also going to open us, broaden our horizons, and encourage us to open our minds and hearts to something beyond our current reality.
With the full moon at 00°42′ Virgo Sign conjunct the mighty fixed star Regulus in the Heart of the Lion, Leo Constellation, this is also a strong, sexy and daring full moon. But even though we refer to Regulus with courage, independence, ambition, success, power and fame. The generous and open minded Regulus also makes people competitive and aggressive.
Full Moons always expose all that we need to release and let go of. With the full moon in Virgo we are going to be encouraged to let go of repetitive thoughts, over-thinking, worries, and fears of the future. Your feelings of safety are now related to order and clarity, even in emotions. You may have the need to organize everything chaotic and disorganized. When we are more tolerant and accepting of the imperfections in life and work from a basis of trust, we can let go and let life run its own way. Life always has a way of pulling us in different directions. These directions may not always be rosy, but somewhere deep inside, we have to trust that whatever we experience is here to lift us higher, to open our hearts, and to help us to grow.
The light of this Full Moon is going to be so strong, and the pull of its energy is going to be intense that we will have no other choice but to open up. The contents of our lives will be released and exposed, we will be cut open, and free to see what is really brewing on the inside. This exposure and release can happen on a mind, body, spirit level or on a combination of all three.
So full moon February 2018 brings exciting opportunities that will make you feel more alive and free. Many separate things which have confused, scared or depressed you will seem to come together and make sense. It should restore your faith that God, or the Universe, does have a plan for you.
