Exploring Ashtanga Yoga ๑ Arm Balances & Shoulders
Yoga is the path of exploring duality and union. Externally we are constantly confronted with duality, however, internally we have a constant yearning for union.
As human beings, we are literally divided between mind and spirit. Some feel a very strong call to unite these, or at least get them to work together.
But what if we see this division as a blessing? We have the intellectual and intuitive capacity and it might be our birthright and responsibility to explore and develop these two aspects of our being. In the process, we might start to understand ourselves better and develop a sense of satisfaction for life and its mysteries.
Yoga practice is our possibility to explore these concepts. We are simultaneously seer and participant in the expression of union and duality through breath, movement, observation, and reflection.
Yoga practice allows us to concretely explore, observe, and understand the different aspects of life and being in a down-to-earth and tangible way.
This is my invitation to you, to come and explore with me.
In these classes, we will look at different aspects of Ashtanga Yoga through concentration, breathing, and physical exercises. If practiced continuously, over a long period of time, these will allow you to develop the intellectual & intuitive knowledge you need to become a more independent yoga practitioner, building towards a lifelong personal yoga practice & journey.
