Elemental Tai Chi ๑ Integrate Your Mind & Body
Each month, we take you on another journey guided by the powers of the four elements. Discover the basics of Tai Chi at The Conscious Club, and learn to shape your spirit through this traditional Chinese Martial Arts form. The classes will be divided into four different themes: Earth, Air, Water & Fire.
1. EARTH
First, we will meet the basic principle that is the foundation of Tai Chi and Chi Kung. It is called "Song". This means to surrender to earth's power. We will learn to use the force of gravity to charge ourselves with Ying Chi. This is a form of Chi which strengthens our health and gives shape to our spirit.
This may sound complex but in the exercises, we will discover this to very easy, fun and amazingly uplifting.
2. AIR
In this session, we will focus on the phenomena of spirit. A force that goes up and gives us meaning to live. The spirit creates space in our bodies and being. People with a background in Yoga will find this very inspiring. The exercises are simple but powerfully grounding and opening.
3. WATER
Now that our fundamentals are clear and we have been playing with concepts, such as, "Song Chi", "Ying Chi", "Peng Chi", we will explore the power of water. Power of connection and communication. Ability to sense and neutralize. In easy movements we will learn about neutralizing the force from the outside by others, to bring this in our energetic center, called Dan Tian and be unmoved by it. Also, this may sound complex at first but by doing the playful and gentle exercises you will surely find out about your power and strength. The power of the feminine.
4. FIRE
Now being content in ourselves, our energetic center full and strong, we can be subtle and soft with ourselves and the environment. But also we can be full of fire! Tai Chi is, in essence, a martial art based on the I Ching, book of change and the ancient Daoist principles. Now we learn to stay soft but strong and also learn to be EXPLOSIVE without losing ourselves, always in order to neutralize uncentered strength, towards emptiness

» We don't do refunds. You can cancel a class up to 8 hours before the start time in order to use your ticket again. In case of a later cancellation, you will be charged.
» Don't forget to dress warm, bring warm socks and wear comfortable relaxing clothing
» We don't allow cell phones & bags in our sacred spaces. We have a dressing room and you are welcome to leave any valuable items secured at our reception desk
» The check-in closes 2 minutes before the start of each class, even if you are already changed in the right outfit. So, make sure that you’re 10 minutes early to be able to enter and enjoy our classes. We have to be strict with this rule to ensure a peaceful class and a timely flow for the classes after that. We are responsible for the well-being of the whole group and can’t make exceptions on behalf of an individual. We respect your time so please respect our policy, your fellow students, hosts and teachers.
