Vision Quest ๑ Wim Hof Breath Work & Deep Relaxation Meditation

On the quest we call life we tend to build up layers.
You will get to access higher realms of awareness, experience a state of ecstasy while clearing out mental, emotional and physical blockages. Afterwards, big chance you feel rejuvenated, often with a new sense of purpose, clarity, new intentions and a new-found connection to your life purpose.


BREATH WORK
We will start each session with the specific breathing exercises of the Wim Hof Method, called ‘controlled hyperventilation or power breathing’, to release your inner fire. Deep and rhythmic inhalations and exhalations will be followed by a retention time, where you hold your breath for a certain amount of time: you will be amazed about the effects, and how long you are actually capable of holding your breath!

These exercises of the Wim Hof Method are proven to have health benefits, both for the body and the mind, by influencing your nervous system and changing various physiological responses. It will lead to more resilience towards everyday stress, mentally and physiology and feeling more in control. Next to that, this deep and powerful breathing can get you in very spiritual state of mind, by giving access to those parts in your brain where you can find DMT, your own ‘homemade’ spiritual access point.

DEEP RELAX MEDITATION
After the powerful Wim Hof breathing exercise, we will slowly blend into the softer part of the session, the Deep Relaxation Meditation, to elevate and deepen your experience.

Join us into a deep and meditative journey, floating between that sleep and the awake state. The journey will take you through all of your layers, to reach your inner truth. Meditation is known for it’s restoring powers. It will help you restore, relax, de-stress, increase your awareness, change bad habits, and eventually understand your true calling and higher purpose. It is an amazing tool to fuse your consciousness with your powerful subconscious and through that, change your life.

Combined, we believe that these sessions will give you an experience that you will remember for a long time!


ABOUT MARJOLEIN
From a young age, Marjolein Vos always had the strong urge to help others, which led into studying Psychology at the UvA. After her Masters degree, she found herself in an inner struggle. Her studies gave her a lot, but had trained her to be all about the mind, without considering the body. And topics like self love or the soul weren’t even mentioned. That struggle, together with her own spiritual awaking, led to a Burnout.

In that period of darkness, Marjolein discovered Yoga Nidra and Deep Relaxation Meditation and she was instantly hooked! After the first session, she walked out of the studio with new energy, new ideas and a new perspective. Amazed by that powerful change inside her and triggered by her Psychology background, she wanted to know more. More Yoga Nidra sessions followed and through these, she was able to turn that dark period into light.

During her teacher training at the House of Deep Relax she discovered her new passion. Her purpose in life became clear, knowing now how to help others: by using her voice. Every week, she lets herself be inspired by the moment and shares her own stories and lessons, coming straight from the heart.


ABOUT REIN
The awareness of breath changed Rein’s life at the age of 35. Rein has been asthmatic for a great deal of his life and knows what it is to be not able to breath at one’s full capacity. Then, Rein Sarink came into contact with a practitioner of the Butyko breathing technique. This breathing technique helped him overcome his asthma.

It was very clear when Rein first came into contact with the Wim Hof Method, the breathing technique was very special. So, simple and yet very effective. It brings you right into your physiology and within a few minutes you can feel the enormous impact breathing can have. This breathing technique does not only influence you on your O2 and Co2 level but it also affects your hormonal system, the autonomic nerve system, and the cardiovascular system. As it also has a positive effect on your state of mind—it is a full mind over body experience.

Now, as a teacher of the Wim Hof Method, Rein is so excited to teach this powerful method to others and let people feel the impact it can have.

» Sorry, we don't do refunds. Unfortunately, we can't disturb a started class, so make sure you are on time so you don't miss out! No exceptions. If you need to cancel a class, you can do this up to 8 hour before the start time.

» Don't forget to dress warm, bring warm socks and wear comfortable relaxing clothing

» We don't allow cell phones & bags in our sacred spaces. We have a dressing room and you are welcome to leave any valuable items secured at our reception desk

» The check-in closes 2 minutes before the start of each class, even if you are already changed in the right outfit. So, make sure that you’re 10 minutes early to be able to enter and enjoy our classes. We have to be strict with this rule to ensure a peaceful class and a timely flow for the classes after that. We are responsible for the well-being of the whole group and can’t make exceptions on behalf of an individual. We respect your time so please respect our policy, your fellow students, hosts and teachers.
