A talk by artist, activist, and cineast Robin Noorda of the Tropism Art & Science Collective on Art, Animation, Awareness, Life on Earth, Shedding new light on plants, shifting perceptions and in particular: the catastrophe of biomass.
Robin will introduce himself with his short film Red-end and the Seemingly Symbiotic Society, a metaphorical stop-motion animation film on greed, growth and the initiative of the individual.
Then we will decent in time till the beginning of life on earth and zoom out to a celestial perspective. To return to the now of things while shedding new light on plants and create unseen perceptions by means of unfamiliar, often scientific visualizations.
Trees stand for more than meets the eye. They are the source, the guardians, our cradle, the lungs of the earth. And we are clear-cutting them at unprecedented speed in the name of sustainability and the energy transition in order to get rid of fossil fuels. But making it worse.
The derailed deforestation madness for biomass is the biggest Climate Catastrophe unfolding at an alarming rate, faster than the burning of the Amazone.
