FULLY BOOKED! // FREE 6-WEEK COURSE - FINDING YOUR LIFE PURPOSE

💫 FREE 6-WEEK COURSE - FINDING YOUR LIFE PURPOSE

Last summer I had the honor to connect to this beautiful wise tree in Barcelona. Much of the answers to the secrets of life, can be found in Nature. I love how the roots of trees are identical in size to their branches, underlining the famous saying "as above, so below". Because the seen and unseen are interconnected. But the tree also shows the magical flow of receiving (branches) and sharing (roots). The middle of it, is merely a vessel between both. If I block the middle, I will block the flow. And we need this flow in order to keep nurturing ourselves, we need it in order to survive.

So simple when you stop and look at it. So simple what the tree is literally showing us. Just by being present, just by being their true selves. Showing us the sacred balance of sharing AND receiving.

Nature shows us another life secret. Everything they do has a purpose. They may grow as an individual, but when it comes down to it they will always put the collective first. They will help their "family" grow. The roots of the tree are secretly connected to a complex underground web that is sharing resources with many other trees, even with different species than their own. They are complimenting one another with their own unique "power" to grow the collective family as a whole.

I will start the new year sharing a FREE 6-WEEK COURSE, Finding Your Life Purpose. In return I will ask you to pay it forward.

This FREE 6-WEEK COURSE will be a trial and a test. Are we capable of creating something bigger than ourselves, where we can grow as an individual, but share with the collective at the same time as well? Are we able to inspire others? Will we help each other rise?

COME DISCOVER A MORE ABUNDANT, SHARED AND PURPOSEFUL WAY OF LIVING 🥰

ORIGINAL CHRISTMAS POST

🎄Happy holidays everyone! I hope you get to spend these days with your loved ones! ❤️

Today during my morning walk with Milo I crossed paths with a homeless man at the supermarket. He lit up seeing a happy Milo & I gave him smile and friendly hello. On my route home I decided to come back for him to ask if I could buy him something from the supermarket. When I approached him & asked, he said that my hello and sweet smile already made his whole day. Then he picked a breakfast yoghurt. I quickly went in to get him two.

Which reminded me of how just a small act of kindness can really make a difference. A simple hello & smile made him feel seen and validated. At least he had a moment of not feeling alone, while the whole city is spending these days with people they love. And instead of being frowned upon he got a feeling of self worth, that he actually matters.

And that feeling, of self-worth, of feeling loved, is how we can break cycles. His healing would mean he can start living again and him overcoming his obstacles would make it a strength to help others.

I sincerely believe that once we get to the core of things, we all need the same recipe, the feeling of being loved, feeling validated and living a life of purpose.

And I have been thinking a lot about breaking these cycles. Instead of disconnecting from our true nature towards more individualism, helping us to make the move towards a more abundant, shared and purposeful way of living.

Life is so much better when shared, but as a society we need to find a healthier balance between sharing and receiving. We cannot keep sharing our cup, if we don’t fill them at the same time. And vice versa. We need both. And for that, you need to heal and understand your purpose here in life.

Which brings me to the following.
I will start the new year sharing a FREE 6-week course, Finding Your Life Purpose.

In return I will ask you to pay it forward by donating time or money to a good cause close to home, or to lift up someone in the community.

The new Conscious Club will be all about sharing AND receiving. I will dedicate 2023 to see if we can empower a wave of change. 🙏🏼❤️

Writing For Wellness ๑ The Power of Mindfulness & Writing

Writing For Wellness ๑ The Power of Mindfulness & Writing

A great deal of anxiety comes from the rush and hurry of a turbulent mind, which jumps recklessly to unwarranted conclusions, rushes to judgements, and often is going too fast to see events and people as they truly are. Such a mind keeps the body under continual stress, and can lead to a multitude of physical, emotional, and mental conditions.

This transformative class, offers you a wonderful opportunity in a safe and supportive space, to slow down your mind―the first purpose of meditation―through a highly effective and scientifically proven writing technique, known as Expressive writing. To help you move on from whatever is keeping you awake at night, by expressing and letting go of the draining thoughts and feelings, you might be harbouring about challenging and upsetting experiences you’ve had.

You will leave the class feeling relaxed, revitalized, and open to respond to life’s difficulties not as a source of stress, but as natural challenges that will pass, as all things do. No prior writing or mindfulness experience is required to benefit from the workshop, and participants are free to write in the language of their own choice.
All workshop materials will be provided, all you need to bring along is an open mind and a willingness to dive deeply within.

* Please note: The writing exercises can trigger deeply buried emotions and memories, so if you’re currently afflicted by, or are being treated for a mental condition, first consult with your
medical practitioner to determine whether the class is suitable for you before signing up.

Writing & Mindfulness - What's the Connection?

More than three decades ago, James Pennebaker, Ph.D., one of America’s most distinguished research psychologists, demonstrated that college students who wrote expressively about traumatic experiences subsequently visited the doctor for illness half as often as the control group.

This groundbreaking research led to further studies with results proving that Emotional writing―or what is often described in research studies as Expressive writing―can help: Enhance immune function, lower blood pressure, decrease heart rate, reduce depressive symptoms and feelings of pain, lower stress and anxiety levels, improve sleep, boost self-esteem and so much more!

The simple act of expressing our thoughts and feelings on paper about challenging and upsetting events provides an opportunity to construct a meaningful personal narrative about what happened and helps us move forward by expressing and letting go of the feelings involved.

Ayurvedic Lifestyle Class ๑ Each Month a Different Theme

Ayurvedic Lifestyle Class ๑ Each Month a Different Theme

The word Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit language. ‘Ayur’, originally ‘ayuh’, means life and ‘veda’ is the wisdom or insightful knowledge. Ayurveda can thus be translated as ‘the knowledge or science of life’. Ayurveda offers knowledge to increase awareness of your individual mind-body constitution and the factors that may cause imbalance and shows you ways to create balance by regulating the systems of the body through diet, lifestyle, herbs, yoga, and meditation. It is based on the five element theory and in particular the wisdom of how to live according to your unique and individual constitution. The practice of Ayurveda is designed to promote human happiness, health, and creative growth.

Yoga, Sutra Philosophy & Guided Meditations ๑ Ancient Teachings Workshop

Yoga, Sutra Philosophy & Guided Meditations ๑ Ancient Teachings Workshop

During this workshop we will give you background information about the yoga philosophy; the yoga sutra’s and the 8 limb path of Patanjali and practice guided sitting sessions according to the three noble principles, going deeper into each one of them, providing a profound foundation and framework for your meditation and your yoga practice.

The workshop is divided into 2 days. On the 30th of October, We will provide the basic information and apply these in yoga asana (poses) and meditation.

On the 14th of November, we dive deeper and give you tools to create your practice.

Background information:
Around the same time the Yoga Sutra was introduced, the Buddha was spreading his new philosophy of Buddhism, which was available to all people no matter how wealthy you were. The intent behind the Yoga Sutra was to simplify the practices to attain enlightenment so that all people, regardless of economic status, could have access to such teachings and opportunities.

At the end of the day, yoga is not just a physical practice and asana is just one of the eight limbs of yoga. The rest of yoga philosophy talks about taking control of our mind and directing it towards a higher goal and purpose. By reflecting on our attitudes towards situations, people, the external environment, and even ourselves, we can cultivate a healthier and tranquil mind, also known as ‘Cittaprasadanam’. Such a mind will allow us to perceive and react with clarity.

In the teachings of the Buddha it is said three things determine whether meditation is just a means of experiencing temporary relaxation, peace and happiness, or a powerful cause for your enlightenment and that of others. They are called; Good in the beginning. Good in the middle. Good in the end.

Its these three noble principles,- a skillful motivation, the mindset of non-grasping that sets it secure and the dedication that are called by the great 14th century Tibetan master Longchenpa; The heart, the eye and the life force of true practice. As Nyoshul Khenpo said; To reach complete enlightenment more than this is not necessary, but less is incomplete.

DATES:

» Day 1: Saturday the 30th of October // 15:30 - 17:45

» Day 2: Sunday the 14th of November // 12:00 - 14:30

Ayurvedic Masterclass ๑ Ayurveda for Women's Health

ayurvedic masterclass (23 oct).png

Ayurvedic Masterclass ๑ Ayurveda for Women's Health

Ayurveda is a holistic health care system that gives us the wisdom to ride the ever-changing waves of life successfully. It evolved in India thousands of years ago yet is still as relevant in our lives today. Ayurveda has always regarded a women’s menstrual cycle with great importance and reverence. It uniquely examines the menstrual cycle as a window into the human body giving us insight into our physical and mental wellbeing. Ayurveda encourages us to lean into the wisdom of mother nature. It teaches us about the different phases of our cycle and how to live in rhythm with them. By being in tune with your cycle you can clearly understand what imbalances your body might be struggling with. As we cycle through hormonal shifts and changes we need to learn how to shift and flow with our hormones so we can allow our bodies to thrive. We forget that a vibrant state of health is both natural and accessible.

Many women today are living with some level of recurring discomfort and this is reflected in the menstrual cycle and in menopause. Cyclical symptoms like mood swings, cravings, tender breasts, bloating, cramps, exhaustion, and moodiness are so common that most women today don’t realize that it’s possible to have a menstrual cycle come and go with ease. Imbalances that linger over time will reflect in the menopausal transition as well. Night sweats, mood swings, insomnia—these may be seen as inevitable experiences. Many accept the symptoms of imbalance as something normal—as simply part of being a woman. But what’s normal isn’t necessarily what’s natural.

Menstrual and menopausal difficulties can be resolved naturally through the practice of Ayurveda. By assisting you to reconnect with your natural rhythms, Ayurveda provides tools to gain a deeper understanding of your feminine nature. In this workshop, we will discuss how you can start to live in rhythm with your cycle. You will learn how to eat and care for yourself during the different phases of your cycle and how to create a platform of vitality in your menstrual health no matter where you are in the cycle of your life.

Writing For Wellness ๑ The Power of Mindfulness & Writing

118175162_2594299804233876_384873720808097542_o.jpg

Physical Freedom ๑ 1-Day Workshop to find Presence & Freedom in Your Body

Physical Freedom.png

Physical Freedom ๑ 1-Day Workshop to find Presence & Freedom in Your Body

Practices for healthy Fascia and Mobility

Your life is lived and experienced through your body. Your body responds to your thoughts, emotions, movement patterns, and daily habits, reflecting them back to you through how you feel. A body that feels open, mobile, with a free flow of energy, truly increases the quality of your life. Similarly a body that feels contracted, stiff, and numb, can have a negative impact on your happiness.

We all experience contraction in our body at different times in our lives, which is not a bad thing, but an invitation to apply our practice to digest the experience life is offering us.

In this1- day workshop you will learn the role fascia plays in how present and free you feel in your body, the different qualities of fascia, and how it relates to your emotional wellbeing. The theory is applied in different practices that you can integrate into your personal practice after this workshop.

You will learn the difference between mobility and flexibility and how mobility relates to tension and trauma that settles in the body and the habitual movement patterns you developed because of it.

Through practice, you will get a complete understanding of your own mobility and how to create more freedom and range of motion in your joints.

Combined these practices offer you the tools to increase your sense of freedom in your body, improve your proprioception and body awareness, and live an energized and embodied life.

Yoga Masterclass ๑ Opening from the Inside Out

Masterclass.png

Yoga Masterclass ๑ Opening from the Inside Out

Deep release of the Psoas, Diaphragm and Hips

In this 2,5 hour Masterclass, Suze will guide you through a practice that allows you to release deep tension from those areas of the body where for many of us it settles the most: the diaphragm, psoas, and hips.

This class combines different practices like breathwork, fascia training, and asana, in a fluid practice that reaches these areas in different ways. With the space and time to gradually work our way deeper into these areas, there is no need to rush or force anything. The body has a chance to slowly open itself up to the poses.

Expect a practice with a gentle start through meditation and pranayama. A spicy middle where we get the body moving, energy shifting and explore some deep hip-openers. Followed by a soothing finish with longer holds and of course an extra long savasana.

After these 2,5 hours you will have completely landed in your in body, feel present, rested and freed from some access baggage that you no longer need to hold in your body. It’s better than therapy!

GOOD TO KNOW

» The check-in closes 2 minutes before the start of each class with no exceptions. Make sure that you’re 10 minutes early to be able to enter, avoid queues and enjoy our classes.

» Please keep a 1,5-meter distance at all times and bring your own towel to cover the props

» No face masks during class. We don’t allow face masks in our classrooms since it’s not safe to do your practice wearing one.

» Come fully dressed to ensure easy entry & exit. You can leave your belongings in the dressing area, but changing and showering are not permitted.

» Please put your phone on airplane mode during class and don't bring it onto the mat. You are welcome to leave any valuable items secured at our reception desk.

» Dress warmly. We need to ventilate our classrooms, so that means it can get a bit chilly. Make sure you’re dressed accordingly.

» You can find our entrance at the graffiti door. The door will be open 20 minutes before the start of your class

» If the door is locked then, unfortunately, you were too late to join the class. We always lock the door 2 minutes before the start to ensure an undisturbed practice, so make sure to be on time.

» We don't do refunds. You can cancel a class up to 8 hours before the start time in order to use your ticket again. In case of a later cancellation, you will be charged. Please be mindful when you book a spot as we have limited space available.
