Blindfolded Movement Exploration

~Dance like nobody is watching~

Did you know that 70% of our brain activity is taken up by sight? This is how much effort it takes for us to process and react to all the data we get through the visual cortex every day! When sight is removed, your other senses naturally heighten and we can become aware of instinctual reactions. Things that were maybe hidden within our body, mind and spirit can come to the surface for us to become aware of, analyses and process.

You’re most welcome to explore your inner world in this blindfolded movement exploration through movement. The session is guided by music specially chosen for this journey. Creating a space for you to start to feel your body and energy and celebrate yourself through dance. Releasing mental, physical and emotional blockages and conditioning by shaking, moving and breathing. You can do yoga poses, crawl, sit, lay, roll, dance, explore, move and be with whatever comes to the surface. All with an emphasis on flow and trust.

This class is a combination of Ecstatic Dance, dynamic meditation and yoga. We start with a circle, creating a sacred space with each other. From there we move to our spot in the space where our blindfolded journey begins, moving on the rhythm of the music. By consciously putting your body in motion, you’re offering yourself a physiological reset, which can be deeply transforming and healing. Enabling yourself to think more clearly and better in tune with yourself so you can open yourself up to new ways of moving and creating.

GOOD TO KNOW:
» You can find our entrance at the graffiti door. The door will be open 20 minutes before the start of your journey.

» The check-in closes 2 minutes before the start of each journey or ceremony with no exceptions. Make sure that you’re 10 minutes early to be able to enter, avoid queues and enjoy our program.

» If the door is locked then, unfortunately, you were too late to join the session. We always lock the door 2 minutes before the start to ensure an undisturbed journey, so make sure to be on time.

» Please put your phone on airplane mode during the journey and don't bring it onto the mat. You are welcome to leave any valuable items secured at our reception desk.

» Dress warmly. We are located in a warehouse, so that means it can get a bit chilly. Make sure you’re dressed accordingly. Tip: use layered clothing.

» Unfortunately we don't do refunds. You can’t cancel an event, or ceremony but you can cancel a journey up to 8 hours before the start time in order to use your ticket again. In case of a later cancellation, you will be charged. Please be mindful when you book a spot as we have limited space available.
