Blindfolded Movement Exploration

~Dance like nobody is watching~

Did you know that 70% of our brain activity is taken up by sight? This is how much effort it takes for us to process and react to all the data we get through the visual cortex every day! When sight is removed, your other senses naturally heighten and we can become aware of instinctual reactions. Things that were maybe hidden within our body, mind and spirit can come to the surface for us to become aware of, analyses and process.

You’re most welcome to explore your inner world in this blindfolded movement exploration through movement. The session is guided by music specially chosen for this journey. Creating a space for you to start to feel your body and energy and celebrate yourself through dance. Releasing mental, physical and emotional blockages and conditioning by shaking, moving and breathing. You can do yoga poses, crawl, sit, lay, roll, dance, explore, move and be with whatever comes to the surface. All with an emphasis on flow and trust.

This class is a combination of Ecstatic Dance, dynamic meditation and yoga. We start with a circle, creating a sacred space with each other. From there we move to our spot in the space where our blindfolded journey begins, moving on the rhythm of the music. By consciously putting your body in motion, you’re offering yourself a physiological reset, which can be deeply transforming and healing. Enabling yourself to think more clearly and better in tune with yourself so you can open yourself up to new ways of moving and creating.

Ecstatic Dance empowers people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds to freely express themselves; the liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance and the fearlessness with which others move gives newbies permission and courage to dance without inhibition.

We will work with a guided tool box to explore even more possibilities in the body that are intended to encourage a heightened state of awareness and focused attention.

What you can expect is a movement improvisation class, like ecstatic dance, but then with a structure and the guidance of a meditative journey. All to help practitioners raise physical awareness by focusing on the listening to the flow of movement, music, inner rhythm and to just have fun.

This journey will be led by Bonnie & Bonita. Bonnie will led the movement part and Bonita will provide the music part of this wonderful journey.

Goddess Dance ๑ Connect to the Divine Feminine

All sexes are welcome to join!

Through dance, you will be guided through a journey primarily focused on the first 4 chakras that will leave you grounded, creative, confident, and abundant with self-love. This dance class will connect you to the divine feminine through guided movements as well as free-form expression. Allow yourself to surrender to the music as we guide you into the unknown.

You do not need to have dance experience to join this class as this safe space will not only help you to find more comfort in your body, but also to help you explore yourself deeper, without judgment. The main approach is connecting the mind, body, and soul and we will help you to allow your body to move how it wants in absence of the often controlling mind and ego. The goal of this journey is to fall more in love with yourself and your feminine energy.

More specifically, we will guide the guests with specific movements tailored towards the chakras and then allow space for free-form dance. The emphasis will be to teach them how to move their bodies so that when they have space for improv (or our other dance classes that are only free-form) they can then understand how to move without feeling awkward. We really want to help people find self-love.

About the facilitator:
Emily Radusovsky is a dance coach who was the director of Released Contemporary Dance Company for two years right before she moved to the Netherlands. It was one of the most rewarding experiences she's had. She leads a group of 20 women, put on the annual show (that sold out months in advance both years), choreographed dance pieces for youtube, and basically was the mother for her team.

Ecstatic dance is a style of free form dance in which the music is the teacher. In this form of dance, there is no structure or steps to follow! Ecstatic Dance empowers people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds to freely express themselves; the liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance and the fearlessness with which others move gives newbies permission and courage to dance without inhibition.

Sacred Cacao is a soft heart-opening medicine. It helps us to connect with ourselves, with our dance, and with the group. The cacao for this Ecstatic Dance is brewed with nice spices and a lot of love. We will drink a small dose, enough to help us open up and sink from our heads into our hearts.

Through dance, you will be guided through a journey primarily focused on the first 4 chakras that will leave you grounded, creative, confident, and abundant with self-love. This dance class will connect you to the divine feminine through guided movements as well as free-form expression. Allow yourself to surrender to the music as we guide you into the unknown.

You do not need to have dance experience to join this class as this safe space will not only help you to find more comfort in your body, but also to help you explore yourself deeper, without judgment. The main approach is connecting the mind, body, and soul and we will help you to allow your body to move how it wants in absence of the often controlling mind and ego. The goal of this journey is to fall more in love with yourself and your feminine energy.

More specifically, we will guide the guests with specific movements tailored towards the chakras and then allow space for free-form dance. The emphasis will be to teach them how to move their bodies so that when they have space for improv (or our other dance classes that are only free-form) they can then understand how to move without feeling awkward. We really want to help people find self-love.

About the facilitator:
Emily Radusovsky is a dance coach who was the director of Released Contemporary Dance Company for two years right before she moved to the Netherlands. It was one of the most rewarding experiences she's had. She leads a group of 20 women, put on the annual show (that sold out months in advance both years), choreographed dance pieces for youtube, and basically was the mother for her team.

The emphasis will be to teach them how to move their bodies so that when they have space for improv (or our other dance classes that are only free-form) they can then understand how to move without feeling awkward. We really want to help people find self-love.

About the facilitator:
Emily Radusovsky is a dance coach who was the director of Released Contemporary Dance Company for two years right before she moved to the Netherlands. It was one of the most rewarding experiences she's had. She leads a group of 20 women, put on the annual show (that sold out months in advance both years), choreographed dance pieces for youtube, and basically was the mother for her team.

Self-Expressive Movement ๑ Dance & Physical Theatre

The class led by Fernando Oliveira, will assist you to discover the performing arts, stage presence, and their personal creative process.

It will be a journey where you overcome obstacles and feel able to reconnect with your creative skills and sensitivity. Here you will be able to develop your own path as a creator through discovering your own, organic body movement.

The class will consist of some basic physical theatre elements and include fun movement games to develop a nice dynamic within the group. You can expect different types of playful physical theatre exercises and personal choreographic styles with use of the rhythm of the music.

Afterward, you will feel empowered and a deeper connection to your own body and movement skills.

Self-Expressive Movement ๑ Dance & Physical Theatre

The class led by Fernando Oliveira, will assist you to discover the performing arts, stage presence, and their personal creative process.

It will be a journey where you overcome obstacles and feel able to reconnect with your creative skills and sensitivity. Here you will be able to develop your own path as a creator through discovering your own, organic body movement.

The class will consist of some basic physical theatre elements and include fun movement games to develop a nice dynamic within the group. You can expect different types of playful physical theatre exercises and personal choreographic styles with use of the rhythm of the music.

Afterward, you will feel empowered and a deeper connection to your own body and movement skills.

No dance or theatre experience is required, this class is suitable for anyone.

» The check-in closes 2 minutes before the start of each class with no exceptions. Make sure that you’re 10 minutes early to be able to enter, avoid queues and enjoy our classes. 

» Please keep a 1,5-meter distance at all times and bring your own towel to cover the props

» No face masks during class. We don’t allow face masks in our classrooms since it’s not safe to do your practice wearing one. 

» Come fully dressed to ensure easy entry & exit. You can leave your belongings in the dressing area, but changing and showering are not permitted. 

» Please put your phone on airplane mode during class and don't bring it onto the mat. You are welcome to leave any valuable items secured at our reception desk. 

» Dress warmly. We need to ventilate our classrooms, so that means it can get a bit chilly. Make sure you’re dressed accordingly.

» You can find our entrance at the graffiti door. The door will be open 20 minutes before the start of your class

» If the door is locked then, unfortunately, you were too late to join the class. We always lock the door 2 minutes before the start to ensure an undisturbed practice, so make sure to be on time.

» We don't do refunds. You can cancel a class up to 8 hours before the start time in order to use your ticket again. In case of a later cancellation, you will be charged. Please be mindful when you book a spot as we have limited space available.

Ecstatic Dance & Cacao ๑ A Liberating Journey

Ecstatic dance is a style of free form dance in which the music is the teacher. In this form of dance, there is no structure or steps to follow! Ecstatic Dance empowers people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds to freely express themselves; the liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance and the fearlessness with which others move gives newbies permission and courage to dance without inhibition.

Sacred Cacao is a soft heart-opening medicine. It helps us to connect with ourselves, with our dance, and with the group. The cacao for this Ecstatic Dance is brewed with nice spices and a lot of love. We will drink a small dose, enough to help us open up and sink from our heads into our hearts.
