Then join us in these magical Full Moon meditation evenings where we let of go of the old whilst making room for the New. In this evening we will practice the transformative ‘ Kirtan Kriya’, also known as the “ SA TA NA MA” meditation, one of the most important meditations in Kundalini Yoga. This meditation is an amazing catalyst for change. It is said that if all other meditation techniques were lost, this meditation would be enough to clear our psyche and balance our body, mind and soul. It is a beautiful meditation that helps you cleanse and purify from within planting new bright seeds of change and growth in your energy field.

Practicing this meditation is both science and an art. We will use Mantra, Mudra, Voice, and Visualisation to balance your Chakra’s and your Aura. This profound meditation has the power to break habits and addictions because it access the part of the brain where habits are created giving you the tools to reshape and transform them.

This meditation supports you in balancing our tattvas. These are the five qualities that make up the physical world: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Each person has a unique constitution with a predominant tattva: maybe you're fiery, quick to react or, maybe you're etheric – not quite “of this world”. Each tattva reflects its own qualities in our behaviors, habits, and constitution so establishing harmony is a must.

During this meditation we will produce the 4 primal sounds:

SAA: Infinity, birth, cosmos, beginning
TAA: Life, existence
NAA: Death, change,transformation
MAA: Rebirth

This represents the cycle of Creation. From the Infinite comes life and individual existence. From life comes death or change. From death comes the rebirth of consciousness. This leads to experiencing the joy of the infinite through living a compassionate life.

Before we start with the meditation we spark of with some warming up Kundalini Yoga exercises, then we glide effortlessly into this beautiful, transformative and healing meditation circle. The energy that’s generated by the group is truly amazing. Come and experience it for yourself, and tap into the power of Community, Kundalini Yoga and the Full Moon energy.

Yin Fascia Release ๑ Free Yourself From Tension

In this class, we use massage balls to treat trigger points (knots), and fascial restrictions. Often they are responsible for pain and a reduced range of movement. Creating space between tissues improves our general health and free us from unnecessary tension.

An hour of slow yin style mindful movements to encourage muscles to let go and soften the (myo) fascial body scaffolding.

How does it work?
We use of the balls to pass over tissues with a simple back and forth action or pausing on top of painful area, patiently and slowly , taking time to actually feel the tissue change shape.
we gently stretch , recognizing and respecting our edges, without the activation of muscle contraction in response to stretching ( stretch reflex). We rebound, giving our tissues time to integrate, restore and adapt to their new acquired form.

We breath mindfully throughout the all practice to expel toxins and to improve body awareness and proprioception.
This practice is a weekly guided mindful exploration of our body and an opportunity to learn some practical instrument for self care to use in our daily life.

Note: please make sure you have two tennis balls ready for this class.

Christophe encountered the art of mindfulness and meditation after he left his stressful IT job after 10 years. As he was traveling the world, he combined this passion and love for the ocean to become a Freediving instructor in Indonesia.

He became well-versed in how the body and mind are intricately connected, powered by just one single breath. As a Freediver, your body undergoes extreme pressures, but with breathing, flexibility, and mindfulness preparations your body can acclimate to being underwater.

He is a passionate instructor, who loves to pass on his knowledge in an informative and playful way. You can expect variations of breathwork as well as mild stretches to open up the body and mind.

WHY KICKBOXING IS GOOD FOR YOU

The simplest and best way to relieve stress is to get some exercise! When your heart rate gets going and you are exercising your body releases endorphins. These are your brains “I feel good” neurotransmitters and tells your body to feel amazing. This is also why after exercise many of us often do feel amazing! Endorphins also allow you to sleep better and to just be overall happier.

Kickboxing requires you to often focus on a specific body movement, or breathing pattern which is a very similar response you would have when meditating or practicing yoga – activities that are proven to reduce stress. Another benefit is that kickboxing allows you to forget all of your problems for the time you are training. You will often find yourself becoming completely immersed in your class and forgetting the bad day you might have had before it.

As you can't come to the studio at the moment, we’re taking Ramon’s Traditional Hatha class online! Feel free to join this journey, where we will focus on a different themes.

The class is accessible for all levels.

THEMES:

1. Detox
Tonight we will focus on detoxifying the body and improve the strength of our immune system. As many of you are home I would say this is the perfect opportunity to work on your health, or to keep your steady practice of course:). The class is accessible for all levels. In this session, we will focus a bit more on twists and poses to stimulate our liver, kidneys and intestines. Also we use a powerful pranayama (breathing exercise) to detoxify our body and increase the oxygen level in our body.

2. Heart Opener
The body stores emotions and chest openers are particularly good for releasing sadness, grief, anger, and frustration. The more you expand your sternum, rib cage and the rest of your upper body with chest openers, the more blood, oxygen and nerve circulation will be freed up to invigorate you mentally and physically. This will be our main focus during this session as we have to be there for each other these days and show each other some more love! Accessible for all levels

3. Stress Relief
Stress demands all of our energy. When our batteries are so depleted, we can’t deal, and anything can push us over the edge. It's like being stuck in semi-panic mode, where there is very little exhale, and the neck, head, and shoulders are likely to be tense. Yoga gives us tools to cope. When inner peace is nowhere to be found, it's time to tune into the body. One technique is to notice where stress or panic lands in the body, and take our mind and breath there. In this class we'll be using these tools including powerful pranayama (breathing techniques) to get us into our relaxation response. This class is accessible for all levels.

4. Balance
Balance yoga poses were found to be very helpful in relieving stress and reducing inner tension. Additionally, they improve focus, concentration and memory. Finally, the unquestionable benefit of the poses is the ability to control emotions in critical and stressful moments. In this class we bring the more focus to these poses. Take this time to challenge yourself at home without the pressure of others watching ;). Class is suitable for all levels.

Our body has the amazing ability to adjust to different types of circumstances. The self-healing ability is enormous. Breathing, basic stimuli such as cold can have a lot of influence on this.

The breath meditation from the Wim Hof Method is a deep breathing technique in which you influence your oxygen / carbon dioxide balance, your hormone system, the nervous system and the blood circulation and the heart. In 45 minutes you will experience what a tremendous power is hidden in your breathing.

The Wim Hof Method is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Yet it is something else entirely.

While Wim has read a lot of books on yoga and meditation for many years, this technique primordially comes from what he terms ‘cold hard nature’. By subjecting himself to the bitter conditions of nature, he learned to withstand the extreme forces of cold, heat and fear.

If you learn this method or technique correctly, it will empower you to do to the same.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The classes will guide you through core themes from yoga philosophy. You will experience the meaning of these themes during the yoga practice, which is mainly based on traditional hatha. The practice is simple in its form, but helps you to dive deeper by exploring themes from yoga philosophy throughout the class. It is accessible for all levels, no former knowledge or experience is necessary.

ABOUT LANA
In India, "lañā" means "take along" or "accompany." As a yoga teacher and psychologist she teaches various forms of yoga and in-depth workshops on yoga & psychology. Lana gives individual yoga sessions and customized yoga therapy for both physical and mental health.

Lana graduated in clinical psychology and neuropsychology (MSc.) At Utrecht University. She is affiliated with the Netherlands Institute for Psychologists (NIP). Lana is also a certified yoga teacher. She followed her basic training at the Arhanta Yoga Ashram in India. She continues to develop her own development in yoga by, among other things, following modules of the Svastha Yoga Therapy Program.

On the quest we call life we tend to build up layers.

You will get to access higher realms of awareness, experience a state of ecstasy while clearing out mental, emotional and physical blockages. Afterwards, big chance you feel rejuvenated, often with a new sense of purpose, clarity, new intentions and a new-found connection to your life purpose.

BREATH WORK
We will start each session with the specific breathing exercises of the Wim Hof Method, called ‘controlled hyperventilation or power breathing’, to release your inner fire. Deep and rhythmic inhalations and exhalations will be followed by a retention time, where you hold your breath for a certain amount of time: you will be amazed about the effects, and how long you are actually capable of holding your breath!

These exercises of the Wim Hof Method are proven to have health benefits, both for the body and the mind, by influencing your nervous system and changing various physiological responses. It will lead to more resilience towards everyday stress, mentally and physiology and feeling more in control. Next to that, this deep and powerful breathing can get you in very spiritual state of mind, by giving access to those parts in your brain where you can find DMT, your own ‘homemade’ spiritual access point.

DEEP RELAX MEDITATION
After the powerful Wim Hof breathing exercise, we will slowly blend into the softer part of the session, the Deep Relaxation Meditation, to elevate and deepen your experience.

Join us into a deep and meditative journey, floating between that sleep and the awake state. The journey will take you through all of your layers, to reach your inner truth. Meditation is known for it’s restoring powers. It will help you restore, relax, de-stress, increase your awareness, change bad habits, and eventually understand your true calling and higher purpose. It is an amazing tool to fuse your consciousness with your powerful subconscious and through that, change your life.
